Mentoring
Mentoring is a key component of the student support system aimed at guiding and nurturing students throughout their academic journey. Each student is assigned a faculty mentor who acts as a trusted advisor, providing academic guidance, personal support, and career counseling. Mentors regularly interact with their mentees to track their academic performance, attendance, and overall well-being, while also helping them address challenges related to stress, adjustment, or personal issues. The mentoring system fosters a strong student–teacher bond, enabling early identification of academic or behavioral concerns and offering timely intervention. This initiative helps create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every student feels valued, heard, and guided during their time at BNPCW.
Student Council
The Student Council at BNPCW plays a vital role in representing the voice of the student body and fostering leadership, discipline, and active participation in campus life. Comprising selected student representatives from each academic year, the council acts as a bridge between students and the college administration. It contributes to the planning and execution of various academic, cultural, and social events, such as Fresher’s Day, Women’s Day, Annual Day, and health awareness campaigns. The council also helps in organizing guest lectures, seminars, and extracurricular activities, ensuring active student engagement and holistic development. By promoting teamwork, responsibility, and communication, the Student Council empowers young women to become confident and responsible future leaders.
Student welfare is given significant importance to ensure a safe, supportive, and enriching academic environment. The college promotes the holistic development of students through various welfare initiatives such as mentoring systems, grievance redressal mechanisms, and career counseling. Dedicated committees like the Anti-Ragging Cell, Women Empowerment Cell, and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) work actively to safeguard student rights and ensure emotional and psychological well-being. The institution also facilitates scholarships for eligible students, organizes health check-up camps, and conducts seminars and awareness programs on personal hygiene, mental health, and social responsibility.
